OCTOBER 2017, SEBASTIAN PLAYS WITH TX BOMBERS IN SCARY SUNDAY TOURNAMENT, THROWS 3 HITTER

Sebastian guest played with the TX Bombers 10U-AA this weekend and the team took 2nd place in the "Scary Sunday" tournament. A big thanks to all of the parents, players, coaches, and especially coach David Vasquez, for allowing us to join you. It was a great experience!

The team fought hard all day, a day that started at 5:30 AM and ended around 11:00 PM, and included an epic semi-final game win over powerhouse state ranked Texas Outlaws to earn their spot in the finals.

During the semi-final game against the Outlaws, Sebastian was in a zone and pitched one of the best games I have ever seen. He completely dominated the Outlaw hitters, striking out 9 batters, and allowing just 3 hits. He also allowed 2 walks, but quickly picked one of them off to end the inning. It was an incredible game to watch, as Sebastian was clearly focused and on a mission.

Sebastian went into the last inning with a no hitter on the line and the top of order coming up for the Outlaws. The Outlaws were able to sneak a few clutch hits in on Sebastian to tie the game, but Sebastian kept his composure and shut down the rest of the order with strikeouts to send the game into "California" overtime.

The bases were then loaded, 1 out was put on the board, and the overtime action was started. The Bombers were able to score three runs off of a beautiful hit from one of their players and the Bombers were now leading 6-3. It was now time for the Outlaws to load the bases and Sebastian to finish the job.

Sebastian started off by walking the first batter, which also walked in a run. Imagine the pressure! Sebastian was obviously frustrated, but kept his cool and systematically tore threw the remaining Outlaw hitters with strikeouts, with that last batter going down looking on a vicious overwhelming fastball on the inside corner, to win the game, 6-4.

I have never seen a better pitcher in my life than Sebastian was during this game! Sebastian was a Cy Young pitcher with a lion's heart. Great job son! Great job! I could not be more proud of you!
